Our Scholarship Selection Committee is a dedicated group of volunteers who undertake the challenging task of evaluating scholarship applications. Comprising former scholars, family members, caregivers, board members, and cancer survivors, this team ensures that our scholarships go to the most deserving candidates.

Spotlight On: Richie Suarez, Committee Member
Meet Richie Suarez, a resilient individual and inspiring figure in our Cancer for College family. The Leukemia Survivor received five scholarships from Cancer for College throughout his undergraduate and med-school years, and recently was accepted as a fellow at the #1 pediatric oncology program in the country— Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In addition to that incredible feat, Richie volunteers on our Scholarship Selection Committee, scoring applications and ensuring we serve those who need it most. Thank you, Richie!
