Bright Futures

Our Vision for Bright Futures

Since 1993, Cancer for College has provided need-based scholarships to cancer survivors pursuing higher education. Our commitment deepens with the launch of the “Bright Futures” campaign, aimed at expanding our support and growing our endowment from $17 million to $25 million. This initiative is built on feedback from survivor families and our understanding of the financial burdens a cancer diagnosis can bring:

  • 15,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year
  • 20% of these children come from poverty-stricken families
  • 66% face burdensome medical debt
  • 94% suffer from reduced educational and work opportunities

“Bright Futures” is designed to empower survivors through four pillars of support, enhancing our capacity to help them achieve their educational dreams. By increasing our endowment, we can offer more scholarships and debt relief, expand educational programming, and secure an official CFC headquarters—all meant to create a sustainable future for our community.

Please join us in supporting these remarkable individuals. Your involvement makes a significant difference.
