Scholarship Options
Annual Scholarship
An annual scholarship provides immediate impact and can be renewed each year.
Minimum Funding: $25,000
Term: One year or multi-year commitment
Flexibility: Renewable annually
You may recommend preferences such as:
- Geographic region
- Type of cancer diagnosis
- Field of study
Endowed Scholarship (Permanent Legacy)
An endowed scholarship ensures support for generations to come.
Minimum Endowment: $100,000
Structure: Invested and managed by Cancer for College
Annual Award: Funded from a percentage of investment earnings
Your named scholarship will continue in perpetuity, creating lasting impact year after year.
Personalization & Recognition
When you establish a scholarship, you may:
- Name the scholarship (e.g., The Jane Smith Memorial Scholarship)
- Share the story behind the scholarship
- Receive updates about your scholarship recipient(s)
- Be recognized on our website and annual report (unless anonymity is requested)
You have the opportunity to:
- Serve on the scholarship review committee

Founded by 3x cancer survivor and double amputee Craig Pollard, Cancer for College awards need-based college scholarships to cancer survivors across the United States. Since its founding, the organization has awarded over $8 million in scholarships to help survivors achieve their academic and career goals.

Can I specify a particular college?
Scholarships are awarded to eligible survivors attending accredited institutions. While we cannot restrict to a single institution, we can incorporate geographic or academic preferences.
Can my scholarship support graduate students?
Yes. Scholarships may support undergraduate, graduate, or vocational students.
What if criteria cannot be met in a given year?
Cancer for College will work with you to identify the closest eligible candidate or defer funding to the following year.
Are scholarship awards given directly to the student?
No. Scholarships are paid directly to educational institutions and managed by the Cancer for College team.

Yes. Cancer for College is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
